R.I.P. Yucca Mountain Project

For over two decades, the prospect of the Department of Energy turning Yucca Mountain into the nation’s high-level nuclear dumping ground has hung over Nevadans heads. Thanks to Senator Harry Reid’s leadership year after year fighting the dump at every turn, the DOE has filed a motion to withdraw their application for the Yucca Mountain Project - which would have turned our state into the nation's nuclear dumping ground! It’s finally over, and Yucca Mountain is dead!
